Isaacs becomes DKEDC Business Retention & Expansion (BRE) Manager

Abilene, Kansas:

Amy Isaacs has joined Dickinson County Economic Development Corporation (DKEDC) as the Business Retention & Expansion (BRE) Manager.  After spending 15 years working in the insurance field, Isaacs decided to make a career change as a result of her desire to give back to Dickinson County communities in a new way.  Isaacs has resided in Dickinson County for over 30 years, living near Chapman, Abilene, and recently moving to settle in Herington.

Isaacs enjoys spending time with her family, hosting family dinners, caring for her animals, attending community events, and volunteering with the American Legion in Herington.  She has been involved with various groups both professionally and voluntarily across the county during their time here.

Business Retention & Expansion, or “BRE” for short, is an economic development strategy focused around connecting with existing businesses to better understand and respond to local business needs.  On average, 75-80 percent of job creation in a community comes from the businesses already established there.  DKEDC realizes the importance of assisting Dickinson County’s current businesses in meeting challenges, celebrating wins, and expanding toward a robust economic future in our county.  Isaacs looks forward to meeting with each business across Dickinson County to learn more about what DKEDC can do to assist.

On joining DKEDC, Isaacs said, “I believe in the importance of giving back to my community and helping others by working with other engaged individuals towards supporting and promoting our county.”  Isaacs looks forward to visiting with you in your business in the near future!
