A wealth of local incentives await businesses interested in coming to Dickinson County. And the Dickinson County Economic Development Corporation is your perfect resource for available grants, incentives, and tax breaks.
For example, the city of Abilene provides grants up to $15,000 to businesses and entrepreneurs on a case-by-case basis, for applicants demonstrating an 80% private match. Abilene also reimburses a portion of the transient guest tax generated by a new hotel or the expansion of an existing hotel.
And no reason to worry if expansion plans are in your future in Dickinson County. Whether through new construction or a real estate acquisition, Kansas law allows a municipality to abate ad valorem property taxes on new construction, expansion of buildings, or land purchases and equipment installation for eligible businesses for up to ten years.
