Amanda West

As a lifelong Dickinson County resident, I grew up in the outskirts of Carlton, KS, and attended Abilene High School where I graduated in 2006. I went on to get my Agricultural Education degree from Kansas State University and came back to AHS to teach Ag for the next 8 years. In 2020, I purchased a local State Farm insurance agency and plan to continue this career until retirement.

 My husband, Chris, and I reside right outside of Abilene and have three children that keep us very busy. My stepson, Cayden, is a freshman at KSU, my stepdaughter, Caryss, is a freshman at AHS and our youngest is an 8th grader at AMS. When we’re not chasing them to one of their various events, I enjoy doing home renovations, yardwork, and reading.

 Our roots run deep in this county and I feel very proud to call it home.
