Fabrication or welding experience preferred. Prior mechanical or agriculture experience preferred. Ability to complete in house forklift training. Prior experience working with lifting equipment and knowledge of basic rigging procedures preferred. Ability to use tablet for viewing work order information and data entry. Ability to use a tape measure and other measuring devices accurately. Mathematical skills necessary to perform essential calculations.Ability to lifts/carry 80 pounds occasionally (less than 33% of the time or 1-100 times per day). Ability to push a maximum force of 45-foot pounds and pull a maximum force of 25-foot pounds. Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment functional capacity test. Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk throughout the day.
Responsibilities
Determine material requirements and task sequences based on engineered drawings and blueprints, part samples, or work order instructions. Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications using squares, rulers and measuring tapes. Set up and operate the following machines: punch press, drill press, drill, band saw, grinder, cutting torch, press brake, iron worker, and CNC mill. Position, align, fit, and de-burr parts to form complete units or subunits. Assist with loading/unloading carts with painter. Assist concave fabricator. Complete fabrication documentation (work orders, scrap, rework tickets).Qualifications
